Speaker mount, Audioplan NL
The goal of this project was to develop a simple yet sturdy mount for positioning a PA system on either trusses or floor-standing subwoofers. The mount is designed to offer precise orientation and flexibility, enabling fine-tuning during setup to achieve optimal sound tailored to each venue or event.
This was a short project, completed in a matter of hours, with the design made production-ready for metal bending and powder coating. I also took responsibility for ordering and direct communication with the manufacturer to ensure a smooth transition to production.
The ability to adjust speaker angle horizontally and vertically provides on-the-spot flexibility for the sound engineer, allowing them to adapt the sound coverage to the venue’s layout and audience size. With a modular PA system, this ensures precise alignment, reduces sound overlap, and avoids dead zones, delivering optimal audio quality tailored to any environment. In the standing orientation one pole or several poles connects the speaker to a baseplate on top of a woofer with flexibility in all directions. In the hanging position the speaker can be mounted to a truss.
